At St. Francis de Sales Parish School, student safety is our highest priority during all school-sponsored travel. We set transportation arrangements and driver requirements to help ensure every student stays safe.
School-Sponsored Transportation
- The school provides transportation when required for field trips, athletic events, and other school-sponsored activities.
- For some local activities, parents/guardians may be asked to provide transportation for their own child.
- Parents/guardians may transport their child to or from a school-sponsored event when permitted by the school.
- Parents/guardians who voluntarily transport students other than their own are responsible for those students while they are in their care.
- All drivers transporting students on behalf of the school must meet Archdiocese of Milwaukee Safe Environment requirements, receive school approval, maintain a valid driver's license and required automobile insurance, and operate a properly registered and insured vehicle.
- All passengers must use seat belts or appropriate child safety restraints as required by law.
- Using 10- to 15-passenger vans for student transportation is prohibited.

Changes to Bus Transportation
If your child will be riding a different bus or getting off at a different bus stop than usual, the school must receive two dated and signed notes from a parent or guardian before the start of the school day:
- One note is for the classroom teacher
- One note is for the bus driver
These notes help ensure all students are safe and properly supervised. Please get in touch with the school office with any questions about transportation arrangements.
